3:41 pm - Ignorance Only
this is an actual practice test for bush's new "abstinence only" program. http://www.prochoiceamerica.org/sexed/index.html

don't get me wrong, i don't think kids should be going around having promiscuous sex. and sure, there are a few people, literally only 1 or 2, that i wish i had never slept with. and i can almost see how prior sexual relationships could affect current relationships. but that gives no one the right to give kids false information about sex. now this particular website says that all of the answers to the questions are false. i'm pretty sure that #6 (Thirty-one percent of the time condoms fail to prevent the spread of...
B: HIV infection) is true, but i suppose that could be an exageration. but that's the problem with this test. all of the statistics are an exageration in an attempt to scare kids out of having sex. it's not going to scare kids out of having sex though. i'll tell you what it will do. it will have kids saying, "why should i bother wearing this condom? it's not going to work anyway." as if we need the percentage of teenage mothers to rise. and #3 (Fifty percent of gay teens are what? B: Infected with HIV) makes me sick. as if bi/gay teens need anymore shit coming there way. we had it hard enough, god damn it! that is an outright lie!

unfortunately that's all i have time for. just wanted to make sure you all know what your hard earned taxes are funding.

9:00 pm - I'm Afraid of Americans...
...or at least christian fundamentalist, right wing extremists. what is happening to america? i realize things have never been perfect, but i am truly beginning to fear this country that i supposedly belong to. so yeah, bush recieved an overdue slap in the face with the stem cell stuff passing outside of his veto limit, but that's not even a fraction of what that man deserves. the fact that he is actually making the reversal of roe vs. wade one of his top priorities terrifies me to the point of tears. taking away a woman's right to choose in this country would be such a fatal mistake, and i do mean fatal. prohibition stopped no one from drinking. the war against drugs g.w.'s daddy fought stopped no one from doing drugs. illegalizing abortion will do nothing but pave the way for the opening of underground, unsterile, unmedicated, slap-dash abortion clinics all over the country. i understand that bush feels like he's saving the lives of these poor, innocent, little babies. what he's actually doing is ruining their lives. spending your entire youth in an abusive household, or in poverty, or on welfare, or in a poorly funded orphanage doesn't sound much like saving a life to me. and don't even think about giving me any shit about "there's no such thing as an unwanted baby. people are always trying to adopt babies. those mothers could just put their babies up for adoption." go hang out at an orphanage sometime and then try to tell me there's no such thing as an unwanted baby. there are fucking millions of them. why don't we try a little harder to save them instead of trying so hard to create more of them while also ruining the lives of the mothers and possibly fathers. "well if you weren't ready for a child, you shouldn't have been having sex." fuck you! mistakes happen, and if that mistake is taken to term and a child is born, that child pays for it's parent's mistake every day of it's life. i've seen parents with kids they never wanted in the first place. that child's life is not pretty. instead of worrying so much about abortion, why don't we start educating everyone, not just our youth, but fucking everyone about different birth control methods? why don't we work to improve health care so that girls can afford to get on the pill? better yet, if we're so god damned worried about people not having abortions, why don't we just supply girls with the pill? and if your areas Planned Parenthood already does that, see step one which is educate everyone! let them know they can get it for free. the root of the problem is not the legality of abortion, it's the education of this country. bush's "abstinence only" is bull shit, and anyone who doesn't see that is fucking blind. i swear the christians fucking confuse the hell out of me. think about it; why is it, from a christian stand point, wrong to kill? it's certainly not because the world is such a great place and people can't be deprived of it. the world is shit; god made sure of that in genesis. the reason is, that person may not have had the chance to repent and be baptized yet and therefore the killer could be robbing them of their chance to get to heaven. however, supposedly all babies souls are clean and pure and in the event of death they go to heaven....that's right kids! do not pass go, do not collect $200, go straight to the gates and into heaven. robbing them of their chance to live? in this shit hole? you've got to be fucking kidding me. if the christians are right, and there is a heaven, i'm going to smack my mother for choosing life! fuck life! i'll take heaven any day.

12:35 am - this is good, folks
"When it occurs to a man that nature does not regard him as important, and that she feels she would not maim the universe by disposing of him, he at first wishes to throw bricks at the temple, and he hates deeply the fact that there are no bricks and no temples. Any visible expression of nature would surely be pelleted with his jeers. Then, if ther be no tangible thing to hoot, he feels, perhaps, the desire to confront a personification and indulge in pleas, bowed to one knee, and with hands supplicant, saying, "Yes, but I love myself." Stephen Crane "The Open Boat"
